Children’s Health
At Riverlea Medical Hub, we are dedicated to supporting the health and development of children from birth through adolescence. Our experienced General Practitioners provide compassionate, family-centred care in a welcoming environment where children and their families feel supported.
Our Children’s Health services include newborn and infant health checks, childhood immunisations, growth and developmental assessments, management of acute illnesses, asthma and allergies, skin conditions, nutrition advice, and routine health checks. We also provide ongoing care for chronic childhood conditions and work closely with families and other healthcare professionals when additional support is needed.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
Riverlea Medical Hub is committed to providing culturally safe, respectful and comprehensive healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our GPs provide preventive care and health assessments, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Assessments, with a strong focus on early detection and management of conditions that disproportionately affect First Nations communities.
We recognise the higher burden and earlier onset of several health conditions within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, respiratory disease and certain preventable illnesses. Our approach focuses on prevention, early identification of health risks and continuity of care, while recognising the importance of cultural, family and community factors in health and wellbeing. We aim to build trusted, long-term relationships and provide a welcoming environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients feel respected, heard and supported in their healthcare.
Antenatal Shared Care
Our experienced General Practitioners provide routine pregnancy assessments, health monitoring, screening, education and advice to help ensure the wellbeing of both mother and baby.
Through Shared Antenatal Care, we work closely with your chosen public or private maternity hospital, providing ongoing pregnancy care in partnership with your obstetric team. This collaborative approach allows you to receive much of your pregnancy care close to home while maintaining specialist oversight, making your pregnancy journey more convenient, coordinated and supportive.
Skin Cancer Checks
Dr Ayaz Aslam provides comprehensive skin cancer checks using thorough clinical assessments to identify suspicious moles, sun damage and other skin lesions.
Where appropriate, we offer skin biopsies, skin cancer surgery and ongoing surveillance, with referrals to specialist services when required.

Immunisations

Minor Surgical Procedures
Our experienced General Practitioners perform a range of minor surgical procedures in a safe, modern and comfortable clinical environment.
We offer skin biopsies, excision of skin lesions, cysts and soft tissue lumps, wound repair, and other minor procedures using evidence-based techniques. We also provide contraceptive procedures, including Mirena® (IUD) insertion and removal, and Implanon NXT® insertion and removal, with personalised counselling before and after treatment.

Iron Infusions
At Riverlea Medical Hub, we provide iron infusion therapy for patients with iron deficiency when clinically indicated and oral iron treatment is ineffective, not tolerated, or unsuitable.
Following a comprehensive medical assessment and review of your blood test results, our experienced General Practitioners will determine whether an iron infusion is the most appropriate treatment for you. Infusions are administered in a safe and comfortable clinical setting under medical supervision, with appropriate monitoring throughout the procedure.

On-site Pathology
For your convenience, Riverlea Medical Hub offers on-site pathology services provided by Clinpath Pathology, allowing many requested tests to be completed during your visit without the need to travel to another location.
Whether you require routine blood tests, monitoring for chronic medical conditions, pregnancy-related investigations, or other diagnostic testing requested by your doctor, our on-site collection service aims to make your healthcare journey simpler and more efficient.
